dress success

yay, website! yay, blog! yay, visiting with my mom! and a special yay to deciding on my wedding dress!!

It was a fairly relaxing, laid back visit with my mom, who flew out to stay with us from January 25-29th. But it was super exciting because we finally got to go dress shopping together! With help from my mom and miss Lisa, I was finally able to make a decision, get sized and order the gown. I also ordered a little sleeveless bolero. Now I just have to wait 5-6 months for it to come in. It seems like a long time, but I have no doubt it will go by fast since we still have about 165 things to do before the big day.

Things we've completed so far:
- booked a venue for ceremony and reception
- booked a photographer
- bought the dress
- compiled the guest list (about 75% done)
- chosen our attendants

Our priorities this month:
- booking a marriage commissioner
- deciding on a veil
- completing the website
- shopping for Marcus' wedding ring

mail outs and websites

So, it has been a busy week. We sent out our attendant card invitations, which was a bit of an effort. Lots of proofing only to find our inkjet printer was not going to cut it, and then two trips to Kinkos! ( Sorry, FedexKinkos ) But the are done and were sent around Tuesday last week. So some people will be getting surprise invitations to be part of our wedding party! Exciting!!

Janice is in town this weekend, it's cool to have her here. She, Sarah, and Lisa went dress shopping today, I'm sure Sarah will post all about it soon.

The web site is coming along, the blog and contact page are working so you all can talk to us and we can talk to you! More to come as we progress towards our wedding!
